Congratulations to the last Titan Strong Certificate recipients of the 2024-2025 school year!

REMINDER! This is the last week of school, and there are a ton of celebrations planned!
Due to the heat, ALL Ceremonies will take place in the Performing Arts Center.
Tuesday, June 24th at 9AM: 6th Grade Moving Up Ceremony
Wednesday, June 25th at 9AM: Kindergarten Moving Up Ceremony
Wednesday, June 25th at 1PM: 8th Grade Moving Up Ceremony
Thursday, June 26th at 9AM: Pre-Kindergarten Moving Up Ceremony
Friday, June 27th at 6PM: Class of 2025 Graduation Ceremony
If your student is being recognized on any of these dates, we hope to see you there to celebrate!

Information Regarding the Heat Index: Week of 6/23/2025☀
We want to assure you that school will remain open over the next two days. Our campus is equipped with air conditioning, and we are taking careful steps to keep students and staff safe and comfortable during this period of extreme heat.
Please help us by encouraging your child to stay hydrated throughout the day. A helpful guide is to take 10 gulps of water every 20 minutes.
Here are the precautions we have in place:
- Hydration: Students will be encouraged to drink water frequently. Please consider sending them with a refillable water bottle.
- Lights Off When Possible: Classrooms will keep lights off to reduce heat where natural light allows.
- Cool Spaces: We are encouraging students and staff to stay in areas with fans or air conditioning as much as possible.
- No Outdoor Recess: There will be no outdoor recess today to avoid any risk of heat exhaustion.
- Dismissal Adjustments: All students will board buses at 2:40 PM today and tomorrow. This slight change allows us to move quickly and reduce the amount of time students spend waiting on a non-moving bus in the heat. Bus windows will remain open to allow for airflow, and we are ensuring that drivers stay hydrated and alert. Our goal is to get students safely on the road as efficiently as possible.
Calendar Reminder: The end-of-year calendar remains unchanged. Full days of school for Monday 6/23, Tuesday 6/24, Wednesday 6/25. Thursday 6/26 is a half day and the last day of school.
All end of the year ceremonies will be inside in the PAC. Please enter through the PAC doors. A separate notice will be sent out with the ceremonies and events this week.
Should there be any updates or schedule adjustments, we will communicate with families as soon as possible
Awareness – Not Alarm:
Please keep an eye out for signs of heat-related illness and contact our health office if your child shows any of the following symptoms: Heavy sweating, Weakness or nausea, Headache, Muscle cramps, Pale, clammy skin
We appreciate your partnership in keeping students safe and healthy. Thank you for your continued support as we wrap up the school year with care and caution
Sincerely,
Lynnette Brunger
Superintendent of Schools
