The Class of 2024 is hosting a Homecoming Chicken BBQ! 🍗 When? Friday, October 20 from 3PM - 6PM Where? Pick up at the back of High School Cafeteria Place your order through a Senior to help them directly cover the cost of their cap & gown, yearbook, or senior trip! Orders & Payment are due by Friday, October 13. Dinners are $15 each, and include a half chicken, baked potato, coleslaw, and dinner roll. There will also be a bake sale if you are looking for something sweet! Meals will be prepared by the Hillsdale Volunteer Fire Company.

Starting today through November 3, THCSD is hosting a Food Drive to benefit our backpack program. 🥫 We are accepting the following items, which can be placed at the collection locations outside both libraries: cereal, peanut butter, pasta, canned vegetables, jelly, pasta sauce, spaghetti-os, canned chili, canned beef stew, and crackers. *PLEASE DO NOT BRING ANY ITEMS PACKAGED IN GLASS CONTAINERS* Let's see which building can reach the goal of 613 items first!

Join us for the 2023 Pumpkin Run on Saturday, October 21 from 10AM-12PM This is a FREE event for Grades Pre-K through 6 and their families! There will be races, face painting, apple cider, temporary tattoos, and more! Each child who runs a race will receive a ticket to enter the pumpkin patch & pick a pumpkin to take home. A Lockdown Drill was held this afternoon at Taconic Hills. The drill was designed to simulate an emergency response and help students, teachers and staff understand appropriate steps to take during an emergency. We are required by law to conduct 4 lockdown drills every school year. Thank you to our emergency responders for their assistance with this drill. The school has resumed normal operations.

The Taconic Hills Support Staff Association is hosting a Bowling Event on Saturday, October 14 at 2PM to raise money for the Support Staff Scholarship Fund. There will also be a 50-50 raffle and door prizes! Call Chris to register your 4 person team at 518-929-3233.

Join the District's Mental Health & Wellness Task Force! The District Mental Health & Wellness Task Force is a whole school task force whose goal is to present recommendations to the THCSD of needed policies and updates to mental health awareness, student wellness, and resources. We are looking for families, students, teachers, mental health professionals, and community members who are interested in mental health/wellness and want to join. Attention Juniors & Seniors!! Tis the season for college visits! Massachusetts College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences will be visiting the District tomorrow 9/22 from 11AM-1PM. SUNY Geneseo will be visiting the District on Tuesday 9/26 from 11AM-1PM. Both colleges will be set up in front of the Jr/Sr High Cafeteria during lunch periods.
