Reminder for Parents/Guardians: When the temperature drops below 32 degrees Fahrenheit, students should be dressed in a coat and long pants. Hats/scarfs/gloves are also recommended. Please remember to label these items with your student's name, so they can be returned if lost. At the end of each sports season, NYSPHSAA honors those varsity teams and individuals that excel in the classroom. Those student-athletes work very hard throughout the year and deserve to be recognized for their academic success. To receive team recognition, the team’s average GPA for 75% of the roster must be greater than or equal to 90.00. Students with a 90 or above will also be recognized as scholar athletes. They each will receive a pin and a certificate. I am proud to announce that the following Varsity teams are Scholar Athlete teams for the 2023 Fall Season. Varsity Girls Volleyball 97,5 GPA Varsity Boys XC 97.13 GPA Varsity Golf 94.45 GPA Varsity Field Hockey 93.55 GPA Varsity Girls Soccer 92.67 GPA Varsity Boys Soccer 90.48 In addition we had 57 out of 96 Varsity athletes with an average of 90 or higher. Around 7am this morning, November 21 2023, Administration noticed that an outside door to the Elementary School was left propped open throughout last night. Staff already inside were asked to report to their cars until the building was announced safe. Law enforcement was contacted and, with the assistance of the Buildings & Grounds department, performed a sweep of the building before any more staff could enter. The building was fully cleared by 7:40 AM, before any students arrived for the day, and staff were allowed to re-enter the building. Afterwards, a debrief was held with law enforcement and the Buildings and Grounds department. “While we did not suspect an intruder or any foul play, the safety of our school community is of utmost importance, and so this precaution was put in place.”, Superintendent Brunger stated.

As the first 10 weeks of school come to an end, we feel it is important to offer availability to laptop insurance for a limited time. We have found that accidents occur and the cost of replacement can often be a hardship. We have reopened the opportunity to purchase laptop insurance for your student through November 30. We strongly encourage you to purchase the insurance as the majority of accidental repairs are cracked screens, which can cost up to $120 if the device is touchscreen.
