The Taconic Hills Winter Athletic Awards Ceremony was held on Thursday March 7th to celebrate our amazing JV and Varsity athletes and coaches, their hard work, and the power of working together. 🏆🧡
Highlights:
• Leo Plaza set new school records in 100 fly and 100 back stroke, which was a 10 year old record
• Neil Howard III participated in swim sectionals where he set a new record in the 50 and 100 free. He also competed in States in Indoor Track & Field where he received a silver medal in pole vault and bronze in 55m.
• Arion Blackwell placed 3rd at the Class C Wrestling tournament and advanced to State Qualifiers in GlensFalls.
• The Varsity Boys Volleyball team advanced to the semi-final round of sectionals.
• The Varsity Boys Basketball team qualified to compete in the opening round of sectionals, finishing 10-11 for the season.
• Our bowling team finished 4th in the league for the 1st time in many years and competed at the sectional level.
• Both Zach Rowe and Samantha Henderson earned the Section 2 Basketball Scholar Athletes.
• Varsity Swim, Varsity Boys Basketball, Varsity Girls Basketball, Varsity Bowling, and Varsity Volleyball were named Scholar Athlete Teams
