Student holding rabbit with younger students watching

Mrs. Bowker's third grade students enjoyed various stations set up by Mrs. Somer's Animal Science class. The high school students taught the third graders how to properly hold bunnies and piglets, and talked about how they take care of these animals. The third-grade students were excited to visit the trout station as well. The last time they saw the trout, they were still in the egg stage of the cycle. The high school students taught the third graders how they check the chemical levels needed to create the environment the trout need to survive.

The time together was enjoyed by all, and the students look forward to future lessons together.
