After discussing yesterday’s tragedy with school administrators & students, specifically those on the football team and Student Council, the District has decided to proceed with the chicken barbecue and football game this Friday, October 20th. The student body has requested that the community wear all white to “white out” the crowd, demonstrating our unity, supporting Richard’s recovery, and honoring the life of Landon.
The Pep Rally & Parade that was scheduled for tomorrow, October 19th, will be postponed to a later date this school year. The Senior walkthrough and Homecoming King & Queen will also be announced at a later date. The Powderpuff game scheduled for Saturday, October 21st has been canceled.
It was our students' voices that determined the adjustments to our weekend schedule. Thank you for coming together as a community in this difficult time, and may we find comfort and support in each other as we, together, are Titan Strong.
