Richard Viebrock
I was born and raised in the Taconic Hills District and graduated from Taconic Hills High School. I have always lived in the Town of Claverack. I am a former THCSD School Board member and past president (1988-2007), a former business owner (JH Viebrock Excavating, Inc.) and a retired Supervisor of Transportation (2007-2022 Taconic Hills). I currently own and operate BusGuy Bus Safety Services, LLC providing testing and training for school bus drivers in the region. I am married and have three grown children who graduated from Taconic Hills and another currently in college who also graduated from Taconic Hills. I have been involved in the community through Little League, The Youth Sports Programs and the Board of Education. I am currently a Fire Commissioner for the Mellenville Fire District. I enjoy golf and old cars and I am a church organist at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Hudson. I want to help improve the educational standing of our students, to increase their post high-school opportunities and to help foster an atmosphere where learning and working are celebrated. I believe I have the background to contribute in a meaningful way.
Ronald Morales
My family and I have lived in the District (Hillsdale, NY) full time since 2000. I am currently an accounting clerk for Columbia County Deptartment of Social Services. My parents taught at Roe Jan, and 3 of my siblings attended THCSD. My children are graduates of THCSD. Our youngest is currently a sophomore at THCSD. My wife, and I have supported THCSD for over 20 years. I enjoy going to the movies and spending time with my family & friends. Having been on the board for most of the years starting in 2007, I have a strong vested interest in the education of the community’s children. Since I’ve joined, we’ve switched from a 2 bell to a 1 bell system. We’ve corrected a poor financial situation, to the point that it is now considered a strength of the district. We’ve done multiple projects enhancing the school plant. All children have free breakfast & lunch, eliminating food issues. Since being on the Board, not a single request to enhance the education experience of our children has been denied. If these are in line with your thinking, please consider voting for me.
