Lisa Cardillo

It is with great pleasure that we introduce Lisa Cardillo, the new Principal of Taconic Hills Junior/Senior High School! Below are some words from Lisa herself.

“I am excited to be writing to you as the new Junior/Senior High Principal of the Taconic Hills Central School District! Over the past week, I have had the pleasure of meeting some of the staff and I could not be more excited to be joining the team here. I look forward to listening to your ideas and vision for our school, learning from you about our community, and leading with you as we enter the 2022-2023 school year.

I am coming to Taconic Hills from Harrisburg High School just outside of Sioux Falls, South Dakota! I spent nine years there working in their Personalized Learning Program as an advanced science teacher, and most recently as the administrator for their alternative education program. Prior to that I was at a different school in South Dakota teaching all of the physical science classes. During my tenure in South Dakota I was awarded the South Dakota Physical Science Teacher of the Year award, and was a state finalist for the Presidential Award for Excellence in Math and Science Education award.

Coming to Taconic Hills represents a move “home”. While South Dakota has been great for us, my husband and I are originally from western New York and are so excited to be back in the Empire State.

I look forward to continuing to meet faculty, staff, and parents. Most importantly, I look forward to meeting the students here at Taconic Hills. I am excited to discuss how we can collaborate and communicate over the course of the upcoming school year.

Please be on the lookout for some meet and greets that I plan on hosting with the new Jr/Sr High School administrative team, but also know that our administrative team would love to hear from you at any time this summer and throughout the school year. I can be reached by email at lcardillo@taconichills.k12.ny.us, or through phone at 518-325-2800. I am looking forward to getting to know you, and spending time learning about Taconic Hills from you!”

Welcome aboard Lisa!
