Dr. Michael Teator, Principal, and Darby Dellea, Assistant Principal of the Taconic Hills Senior High School are proud to announce the Valedictorian and Salutatorian for the graduating class of 2025.

Aaron Schrader Jr., son of Aaron and Ann Schrader of Ghent, has been named Taconic Hills Class of 2025 valedictorian. A leader among his peers, Aaron serves as co-president of the High School Student Council and is an active member of the National Society of High School Scholars and the National Honor Society. Throughout his school career, he has generously volunteered his time in multiple activities, including tutoring fellow students, pioneering a peer tutoring program, and serving as the student liaison to the Board of Education. Outside of school, Aaron has worked at Catamount Ski Resort. Aaron’s numerous academic accomplishments include the Clarkson University High School Leadership Award, the R.I.T. Science and Math Award, and multiple Academic Excellence Awards in math, science, and English. Aaron has also been nominated for the prestigious Yale Young Global Scholars Program and the Harvard Future Medical Leaders Program. Aaron plans to attend SUNY Binghamton in the fall, where he will pursue a degree in biochemistry, with the ultimate goal of attending medical school.

Luke Olson, the son of Bruce and Eileen Olson and brother of Haley Olson of Philmont, has been named Taconic Hills Class of 2025 salutatorian. Luke has consistently earned High Honor status and was awarded the Social Studies Achievement Award for maintaining the highest overall three-year average. He also received the Rural and Small Town Recognition Award for outstanding performance on PSAT and AP exams in a rural area and was honored with the prestigious Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) Medal for Excellence in Mathematics and Science. Beyond academics, he is the secretary and a proud member of the National Honor Society, as well as an editor of the high school yearbook. Luke spends his summers working at the Town of Claverack Summer Program. He will be attending RPI in the fall, where he will pursue a degree in engineering.
