Neil Howard III became Taconic Hills' first state champion in Track & Field since John Dunn in 1974.

Freshman Ethan Zacarolli competed in the Pentathlon, placing 8th in Division 2 and 19th in the New York Federation. His score of 2614 beat his personal best by over 130 points compared to his sectional score, and missed medaling by under 200 points.

Coach Kory Kolewe stated β€œIt has been a pleasure watching these two individuals grow and improve over the season. Neil’s drive and dedication is the epitome of what coach’s want to see from their athletes; He never settles and is always striving for more. Additionally, Neil took Ethan under his wing and started guiding him to greater things; a sign of a true leader. Ethan soaked all of this in and made incredible strides forward. Ethan was a sponge and absorbed everything that people around him could teach; another fantastic trait of excellent athletes and it paid off in the end of the season. I look forward to seeing the heights these two reach in the future.”

Go Titans!🧑
