Welcome to the Taconic Hills Elementary PTO!  We have been busy planning our calendar of events and are excited for the upcoming year.  We hope to provide services that will enhance our children's everyday educational experience and strive to give parents a direct voice in what is taking place at our schools.

The strength and success of our PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) is dependent upon parents and community members who are able to volunteer their time, opinions and advice for our schools.  The teachers, staff and members of the PTO appreciate any and all efforts of those who volunteer.  By volunteering, you will get the joy of interacting with the children, becoming friends with other parents and accomplishing things that truly make a difference in the children's educational experience.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to establish a close relationship between home and school.  We provide opportunity for all parents to become involved in the Taconic Hills school community through meetings, volunteering and events.  It is our belief that with a team effort of a parent teacher organization, the best possible learning environment for our children can be obtained.


In order for our PreK-6 PTO Parent Teacher Organization to be successful, communication is vital.  There are several ways for us to inform you of what we are doing.  Our meetings are typically held the second Tuesday of each month at 4:30 pm in the Elementary school library.
