School Tax Information
Our 2016/2017 Collection Period ended on October 31st. Payment may no longer be accepted by THCSD.
All payments must now be made to the Columbia County Treasurer’s Office, 15 North 6th Street, Hudson, NY 12534 during their collection period of November 13th through November 27th. It is the County’s policy that they must have payment in hand by 2:00pm on November 27th and will not accept postmarks. If you have questions, contact the Treasurer’s Office at 518-828-0513.
Property owners may access tax information, view their bills, and print paid certifications through the Info-Tax Online link provided below. Two years of tax data is available.
Note About Addresses: Please take a moment to check your mailing address on your bill. Residents, especially those in the Village of Philmont, who use a post office box for mail delivery should add their post office box number to their mailing address of record. If you need to make changes, additions or updates, please contact your Town Assessor to update this information.

Please contact your town assessor if you need information regarding: Exemptions, Assessment of your Property, or if your address has changed within the last 12 months. (You can generally reach your town assessor through your town hall)
Here are a few tips to make sure that your school tax bills are processed efficiently:
- Property owners are responsible to make sure that payments are received on time and in the correct amount. Partial payments cannot be accepted and will be returned.
- If you do not receive your school tax bill by the second week of September, please contact the tax collector immediately to avoid possible penalties.
- If you receive a tax bill and you feel that your bank, or escrow agency, should have received it, please contact your bank or agency immediately so they can process payment on time and avoid any penalties for late payment. If you have paid your mortgage in full and no longer have an escrow account, but have not received your school tax bill, please contact the tax collector immediately so that you can have a copy sent to you for timely payment.
The school Tax Collector’s office is open from 8:00am until 4:00pm, Monday through Friday.
