Introduction:
You have been hired by the NYS Museum of Natural History to develop a floor in the museum that will be devoted to ancient Egypt.  Acting as a museum curator you will research ancient Egyptian artifacts and their history.  You will recreate the artifact to place in the museum.  Along with the artifact you will need to create an informational brochure or  report providing information about the artifact for visitors.   Through research and the creation of "Artifacts", you will become an expert in the topic or topics you study and knowledgable in other aspects of Ancient Egyptian culture.

Task:
As acting curator of the museum, you will become the expert of one aspect of the Ancient Egyptian culture.  You will use encyclopedias, books and the internet to research the topic you choose.  Findings will be presented in the form of both a project and a written piece.  The good news is that your project can be just about anything!  A mini-exhibit, a costume, food samplings, video, power point, sculpture, diorama, re-enactment - the sky is the limit!  More good news is that your written piece can either be included in your presentation (i.e. PowerPoint) or be in the form of a reportor a brochure.  And lastly, have fun with this project, learn a lot and work hard!
