Faculty, Staff and Students welcomed our local Veterans  to the annual Veterans’ Day Assembly.   It was our privilege to have  guest speakers  Angela Burch and SFC Juanita Salas-Jackson, both alumni from Taconic Hills CSD share their experiences.  Both spoke on the pride and duty they felt serving our country.  Ms. Burch and SFC Salas-Jackson emphasized the importance and value of simple expressions of gratitude to Veterans! It was a tremendous surprise and honor  to receive a certificate and an  American Flag that was flown overseas in honor of our school!  A highlight of the day was  a special video shout out from our own  Taconic Hills CSD  Health Teacher,  TSgt Amie Moore!  We all learned valuable lessons, felt  great pride and look forward to always thanking our Veterans.   Click to see Certificate.
